Esty & Hellie Stowell Trailhead at Storm King Mountain
View from Storm King summit Nick Zungoli
Cornwall-On-Hudson, Orange County—The trailhead provides access to Storm King State Park and over 11 miles of challenging trails—steep, narrow and rocky—leading to dramatic summit views of the Hudson River and Highlands. Scenic Hudson got its start and launched the modern grassroots environmental movement protecting Storm King Mountain from a massive industrial project. The trailhead is named after Esty Stowell, a longtime Scenic Hudson board member who played a leading role in the park's creation, and his wife Hellie.
The Esty & Hellie Stowell Trailhead is owned and managed by Five Points Mission. For inquiries call 845-534-7900.
